It was a strong weekend for our Kings in the NBL1.
In the South, DJ Vasiljevic continued his success with his team the Diamond Valley Eagles. DJ hit 31 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists leading his team to a win over the Ringwood Hawks.
In the North, fellow teammates, Jaylin Galloway and Biwali Bayles, went up against Jordan Hunter in their game on the weekend.
All the Kings put up some big numbers, but only one team took the win.
Hunter managed to score 11 points, 8 rebounds, and three assists for the SeaHawks, but it wasn’t enough to beat Bayles and Galloway’s Mackay Meteors.
Bayles carried his efforts into another round, dropping 18 points, 5 rebounds, and two assists, while teammate, Galloway scored 21 points 5 rebounds, and 5 assists leading their team to victory (114 – 83).
Angus Glover is yet to make his debut for the Sutherland Sharks this season, resting knee soreness after a torrid NBL season.
