The Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings have locked in an important trio of young talent with Lochlan Hutchison, Archie Woodhill and Jaylin Galloway signing as the Club’s development players for the upcoming 2020-21 Hungry Jack’s NBL season.

A product of the Sutherland Sharks, Hutchison re-joins the Club after making his NBL debut last season, while Woodhill and Galloway make their first appearances onto an NBL roster.

Hutchison returns for his third year with the Club following a strong stint in the off-season with the Sutherland Sharks as well as being named in the 2020 Waratah League All Star 5.

A Sydney local, Woodhill graduated from Riverview College in 2019 and has most recently been training with the Centre of Excellence in Canberra. He was also a member of the U20 NSW State team last year.

Galloway joins the Kings after returning to Australia from Marietta, Georgia in the US where he had been living since he was three years of age. Most recently he had been training with the Centre of Excellence and is an exciting young talent.

In addition to his own talent, Galloway also holds strong family ties to the elite basketball community in Australia, as his mother is former Townsville Fire WNBL MVP, Kylie Galloway.

The three young Kings have already joined the playing group, and will provide valuable support off the bench as the team finalises their preparations for Round One against the Taipans this Saturday.

Kings CEO Chris Pongrass said it was a great result to have more local talent joining the Club as they look to further develop their basketball careers.

“Depth and consistency will be common themes throughout this season, with additional games in a more condensed window – having a strong development and training squad will be vital to our success.”

“I am very pleased with the growth and maturity that these three young men have showed over what has been a long and tough off-season. We are focused on ensuring we contribute to the development of their game” Pongrass shared.

The Kings tip off their NBL21 campaign this Saturday night when they face the Snakes at Cairns Pop Arena from 8.00pm. The game will be available on ESPN, SBS on Demand and NBL.TV.
