The Sydney Kings can announce they've granted Jackson Makoi a mutual release from his NBL25 contract to pursue other career opportunities.
The Egyptian-born South Sudanese international has spent the past two seasons with the Hoops Capital club as a development player - helping the purple and gold win the NBL23 championship.
During those two seasons, the Melbourne product - who just signed with NBL1 club Northside - made 16 appearances for the Kings, including scoring a career-high eight points against the Perth Wildcats on February 5, 2023.

Kings CEO Chris Pongrass thanked the 23-year-old for his commitment to the harbour city club and wished him all the best in his future on-court endeavours.
“Jackson has a bright basketball future ahead of him," Pongrass said.
“While a talented young player, both of us saw a better opportunity for him to play meaningful minutes with another club, and so this was the best move for everyone.
“He played a crucial role as part of our championship team in NBL23 and we will forever be thankful for his time here in Sydney.”
