The Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings are calling on basketball fans to dig-deep this weekend, as they come together with rivals the Perth Wildcats at Qudos Bank Arena, to raise money for those who have been affected by the floods ravaging parts of NSW and QLD.
DONATE HERE
In what is always guaranteed to be an exciting matchup between these two Clubs, the Kings and Wildcats will now have even more reason to put on a show, with both sides agreeing to donate $100 for every three-pointer their team scores during the hit-out.
The game will be the first time the Perth Wildcats have returned to Qudos Bank Arena since game three of the Grand Final series 12 months ago.
Kings CEO Chris Pongrass said that whilst maintaining strong rivalries is important for the league, teams need to rally together to show support and raise awareness in these times of need.
“It’s been a tough week for many people across Sydney, NSW and stretching up the far north coast into QLD, and we want to do everything we can to support those who have been affected by the floods.”
“Twelve months ago it was the bushfires, then COVID, and now these areas in NSW are again facing challenging times as the floods continue to devastate communities.”
“We encourage all basketball fans, not just those in Sydney, but anyone who can help to chip-in and donate, and we appreciate the Wildcats support in this effort” Pongrass said.
The Kings and Wildcats will be donating directly to charity organisation GIVIT who are working with the NSW Government to aid recovery and give exactly what is needed, where it’s needed.
100% of the money donated goes directly into purchasing essential items and services needed to help those who have been impacted. All items are sourced locally to help support local businesses.

The Kings will take on the Perth Wildcats at Qudos Bank Arena this Sunday from 2.45pm. Tickets are available at ticketek.com.au/sydneykings.
