The school holidays are here, and the Sydney Kings are giving families three big reasons to get off the couch and into the action.

Across all three school-holiday home games, kids go free with a paying adult, making it easier for the whole family to experience live basketball, big-game entertainment and the reigning NBL champions at Afterpay Arena.

The fun begins this Sunday with one of the fiercest rivalries in Australian basketball.

Start the holidays with the Freeway Series

Sydney hosts the Illawarra Hawks in the opening game of this season’s Freeway Series and there is already plenty at stake.

The Kings hold the Adrian Hurley Cup after sweeping the Hawks 3–0 last season. Every meeting this year will help decide which club takes home the trophy, beginning with Sunday’s clash at Afterpay Arena.

The afternoon will also mark a special piece of Kings history, as the club’s mascot celebrates an incredible 500th game.

Expect rivalry basketball, school-holiday entertainment and plenty happening around the arena before the teams take the floor.
