The Sydney Kings were recognised for their amazing NBL23 season at Monday night's Sports NSW Awards ceremony at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour.
The Hoops Capital club, after securing their second straight NBL championship in 2022-23, finished as one of the runners up for the Team of the Year award - which was taken out the Penrith Panthers for the second straight season.
Joining the purple and gold as finalists for that award were Nicole Duncan and Keira Will (cycling), NSW Pride women's team (hockey) and Sydney FC women (football).

Finally, Basketball NSW, who is a partner of the two harbour city clubs, finished as one of the four runners up for Organisation of the Year - with NSW Goalball taking the top honour ahead of Football NSW, Gymnastics NSW and Volleyball NSW.
Other winners on the night were Jessica Fox OAM (Athlete of the Year), Lauren Parker (Athlete of the Year with a Disability), Jamieson Leeson/Amanda Leeson (Team of the Year), Myriam Fox-Jerusalmi (Coach of the Year), Jemma Cook (Official of the Year), Errol Gulden (Young Athlete of the Year), Arato Katsuda-Green (Young Athlete of the Year with a Disability), Tony Goodwin (Masters Athlete of the Year) and Annelise Rosnell (Administrator of the Year).
