The Sydney Flames' inaugural Pink Game night has proven to be a massive success, with the club raising more than $20,000 for its partner, The McGrath Foundation.
This amount, which will help fund more breast care nurses, comes on the back of generous donations by the Hoops Capital club's sponsors Akasha Brewing, Beyond Bank, Budget, Carma, Cygnett, Salon Warehouse and South Break Media (who combined to donate $550 for all three-pointers (11) the Flames hit at Quaycentre on Friday), its ownership group (who matched the amount being contributed by the sponsors), fellow WNBL clubs (Adelaide and Southside) and of course, the loyal fans of the Flames.

The overall response by the Sydney basketball community has blown Flames guard and breast cancer survivor Tiana Mangakahia.
"The whole week leading up to this game, we knew it meant something really special, to not only me but other cancer survivors out there and patients currently going through it," said Mangakahia, who had fellow Hoops Capital athletes Justin Simon, Tim Soares and Angus Glover attend the fixture.

"It was amazing to see the whole team and our supporters rise to the occasion on the night and made it a game none of us will ever forget.
"Further to that, I'm so grateful for the ownership group and all the sponsors that helped make this event a reality, which means the world to me."

Looking ahead, the Flames have a quick turnaround and will now take on the Fire at the Townsville Entertainment Centre from 4pm AEDT on Sunday.
"We all know Townsville is going to be a tough one, as they've already gotten the better of us twice this season but I have complete faith in this side," the Syracuse alum said.
"We know we can beat anyone in this league, just like we did against Southside on their home court - it's just about playing together and for the full 40 minutes."
The harbour city side's round 15 clash with Townsville will be broadcast live on 9Now.
