Hoops Capital and the Sydney Kings today announced a new major partnership with Omoda Jaecoo (Jaecoo).
The brand will feature on the back of the Sydney Kings jersey this season and become the club’s Official Membership Partner, helping bring member events to life.
Jaecoo will also become the presenting partner of Hoops Capital’s Basketball-2-Business program, which connects local business leaders across Sydney.
Hoops Capital CEO Mark Thompson said the partnership marked an exciting step for the Sydney Kings.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with Jaecoo, globally respected for its craftsmanship and innovation. As the reigning champions of the NBL, the Sydney Kings are pushing the boundaries of Australian basketball from a performance, fan and engagement perspective. Joining forces with a partner that shares our drive and ambition is crucial as we continue to build momentum as a code and as a club.
“Jaecoo is one of the fastest-growing brands across Asia and Europe, and basketball is one of the fastest-growing participation sports in Australia. This partnership will further drive the growth of our sport and unlock the amazing entertainment and sporting product that is championship basketball at Afterpay Arena with the Sydney Kings.”
Roy Munoz, Chief Commercial Officer of Omoda Jaecoo Australia, said the partnership presented an exciting opportunity for the brand to connect with basketball fans and support one of Australia’s leading sporting organisations.
“We’re incredibly excited to partner with the Sydney Kings, a club that shares our ambition, competitive spirit and commitment to achieving great things.
“Basketball has an incredible ability to bring people together, inspire communities and create lasting memories. The Sydney Kings have built a passionate following, and we’re looking forward to being part of that journey.”
Jaecoo is one of Australia’s fastest-growing car brands, surpassing 20,000 sales in October. This growth has been spearheaded by the J5 small SUV, which is offered with petrol, hybrid and fully electric powertrains.
The brand looks forward to giving its owners and Sydney Kings fans exclusive offers throughout the 2026/27 season, ranging from ticket giveaways to VIP experiences.
