The Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings are excited to announce the Ring of Honour is back!
To celebrate the Kings history and past talent, the Ring of Honour award encourages fans and members to vote for their favourite Kings players over the last three decades.
The first Ring of Honour Award was presented to Tommy Garlepp at the end of the 2020 NBL season, but due to COVID the honour put into recess to be celebrated with fans at Qudos Bank Arena again.
Separate to the Sydney Kings Hall of Fame, which is the club’s most distinguished award, the Ring of Honour is an award that the entire Sydney basketball community can get around and involved in.
Fans and members are encouraged to vote for their favourite players not just for their talent on the court, but for other reasons they believe they may be worthy of recognition.
- The most entertaining;
- The courageous;
- A great teammate; or
- Those who gave back to our community.
This year a judging panel will decide a list of nominees for the fans and members to vote on to decide the eventual winner.
The judging panel for this year’s award consists of Kings great and assistant coach Daniel Kickert, Kings historian Matt McQuade, television commentator and presenter Jo Healy and News Corp’s head basketball writer Matt Logue.
The nominees will be announced here on March 30 and then fans and members will have a week to vote and decide the winner of this season’s Ring of Honour.
The winner will be presented with their award at the final Kings home game of the season at Qudos Bank Arena against the Illawarra Hawks on April 24.
You can get your tickets to our last two home games here.
