Although the NBL1 schedule was a little lighter than usual because of Easter, it didn't stop a number of Hoops Capial stars shining over the weekend.
Out west, Sydney Kings development player Isaac Gattorna and his Geraldton Buccaneers suffered their first loss of the season, going down to his former side, the Perth Redbacks, 96-80 at the Karratha Leisureplex.
In the defeat, which drops the Buccs to 1-1 in 2023, Gattorna tallied 12 points, five rebounds and one steal in 22.17 minutes.
Next up for the Buccs is a round three fixture with Joondalup at HBF Arena Joondalup on Saturday.

Still out west and Flames wing Emma Clarke made it three straight games of double-figure scoring efforts to start the season, thanks to an 18-point performance during Saturday's 62-55 win by Perry Lakes against Warwick.
Clarke also produced eight rebounds, two steals, one dime and one block in the victory at the Bendat Basketball Centre.
In round three, Clarke's Hawks will travel to the Willetton Basketball Stadium and take on the Tigers from 6.30pm AWST Friday.

Moving to Queensland and this week sees Kings assistant coach Fleur McIntyre and her NSW under 18 Metro women's team compete at the national championships.

Their remaining three pool matches are against Queensland South (Tuesday), South Australia Metro (Wednesday) and Victoria Country (Thursday) before the finals tip-off.
All the other Hoops Capital stars competing in the 2023 NBL1 competition will return to the hardwood this weekend following the Easter break.
