Game day guide: Round 17 vs Adelaide 36ers

The Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings are back at home this afternoon when they take on the Adelaide 36ers in Round 17 of the NBL21 season. Currently holding down third spot on the NBL ladder, now more than ever we need our members and fans in the stands to help us bring it home as we look to secure a spot in the Finals. Today we will also be celebrating Mother’s Day and paying tribute to our 1996 season by wearing our heritage round jersey.
As has been the case all season, Kings home games will be played in conjunction with NSW Health Guidelines and public health orders, NBL protocols and the Qudos Bank Arena Covid-19 Safe Plan.
Masks are mandatory for today’s game at Qudos Bank Arena so please ensure you have one handy with you prior to attending the venue. We ask that you also please read the below information as you have an important role to play in ensuring the health and safety of all patrons within the venue.

Members Entry: 1.15pm
General Public doors open: 1.30pm
The show starts: 2.45pm
Important things to note:
- As per the current health order in NSW, mask are mandatory for today’s game
- The Hostplus Members Q Bar will be open pre-game only today from 1.30pm. This family friendly bar is located in the Grand Foyer and has a limited capacity. The Members Bar will be closed post-game and no player appearances will be available due to the current COVID restrictions in place.
- As per previous games, all patrons are strongly encouraged to check into the venue via the Service NSW app upon arrival
- We ask that you also please stay home if you’re feeling unwell, have been in contact with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case in the past 14 days, or are waiting on a COVID-19 test
Things to know before you arrive:
- Please have your e-ticket loaded and on your mobile phone prior to arrival. If you have selected a mobile ticket please share with your friends and family in advance
- Members will be required to bring their Membership Card to use the members’ entrance (if you are unable to locate your membership card or have any issues, our membership team who will be located at the box office pre-game will be able to assist with any membership related queries)
- Please stay home if you’re feeling unwell, have been in contact with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case in the past 14 days, or are waiting on a COVID-19 test.
- If you and/or anyone in your group are a resident of a COVID-19 hotspot or have been in a COVID-19 hotspot, in the designated time periods, you will not be permitted entry into the venue at this time. For an up to date list of COVID Hot Spots please check out the NSW Government website here.
Some things may have changed since your last visit:
- Qudos Bank Arena is now a cash free venue – all transactions including food, drink and merchandise outlets will be cashless
- Please minimise the size of bags you bring to the arena – no backpacks or bags over A5 (200 mm x 150 mm) sizing will be permitted into the venue
- Due to COVID restrictions there is no longer a cloakroom facility available at the arena

COVID safe restrictions and information:
- Masks are mandatory for today’s game against the Adelaide 36ers
- No singing or dancing is permitted at today’s game
- Unfortunately, there will be no pre-game activations in the Red Zone outside or in the Grand Foyer of Qudos Bank Arena. This is to prevent queuing and multiple people touching the same surface. These activations are an important part of the Kings home game experience and we hope to be able to bring them back as soon as possible
- Due to NBL Covid-19 protocols players will not be able to hi-five or shake hands with the fans – please advise young children
- It is strongly encouraged all patrons scan the service NSW QR code to check into Qudos Bank Arena on the way into the venue
- Please do your bit to maintain 1.5m physical distancing when entering, navigating inside, queuing and exiting Qudos Bank Arena
- Only sit in the reserved seat stipulated on your ticket
- While in the venue, please remain in your seats at all times unless buying food and beverages or using the restrooms. You’ll need to consume any food and beverages in your seat
Members lounge and food and beverages:
- The Hostplus Members Q Bar will be open pre-game only today from 1.30pm. This family friendly bar is located in the Grand Foyer and has a capacity of 150 people. The members bar will be closed post-game and no player appearances will be available due to the current COVID restrictions in place.
- All Qudos Bank Arena customer lounge bars will also remain closed for this event
- Multiple food and beverage outlets will be open throughout the venue however seating around the concourse areas has been removed – please take your food and drink back to your seats
- The Platinum Plus Bar is now open for those with Platinum Plus tickets or memberships. You will be provided a wristband when you arrive at your seat and this will give you access to the Platinum Plus Bar.
Merchandise
Merchandise is available for purchase inside the Grand Foyer as you enter Qudos Bank Arena. You can also head to shop.sydneykings.com.au to grab some merchandise online.
Kings Bar at The Brewery:
The Kings Bar at the Brewery will not be open for today’s game.
Membership Discounts
Don’t forget to scan your membership card at our internal outlets to redeem your member discount on food, beverages and merchandise.
If you are unable to locate your membership card or have any issues, our membership team who will be located at the box office pre-game will be able to assist with any membership related queries.
