Confidence high for Kings going into Breakers clash

Despite sitting in fourth spot, with an 8-7 record heading into round 11, Sydney Kings' Xavier Cooks believes his team is heading in the right direction.
In Hoops Capital's weekly 'The Crossover' episode on SEN, Cooks was open about his team's performances thus far to host Jimmy Smith and why he still holds great confidence in their outlook.
"The biggest thing missing for us this season is consistency - we've had patches we we look really good and we had patches that are up to our standards," said the NBL23 MVP - who admits the two results in round 10 'sums up the Kings' season to date'.

"These things take time but unfortunately time is starting to get away from us.
"Thankfully the past few weeks, due to the FIBA break, we've been able to work through some of those aspects, take our intensity to another level and I honestly feel we're trending in the right direction.
"I really like the mentality and mindset of this group, which hasn't changed all season - with us all still having high hopes of what we can achieve together."
The harbour city side's next chance to prove that comes against the Breakers on Saturday night at TSB Arena.
"First and foremost against the Breakers, you need to slow the head of the snake, which is Parker Jackson-Cartwright, who has been one of the MVP favourites all year," the forward said.
"He makes all his teammates better, while also being dangerous with his mid-range jumper.
"As such, it's a higher point of emphasis to shut him down.
"The other one we'll need to keep an eye on is Taco Fall and the way he can impact the game on both ends of the court inside the paint."
The round 11 fixture will be broadcast live in ESPN from 5.30pm AEDT on Saturday.
