Please join us for our next Business Bounce webinar on Tuesday the 22nd of September.
Moving forward these webinars will be shared directly with our Business Bounce community only, so a reminder to all Sydney Kings members and corporates that registration can be done via the emails we have sent to you directly.
We are excited to announce that three-time Australian Olympian, Kings Legend and The HOYTS Group President and CEO, Damian Keogh will be joining us alongside Stagekings Managing Director Jeremy Fleming.
The topic we will be chatting to them about next week is ‘adapting to change’, both across their careers and particularly during the current climate.
Adapting to change: With special guests Damian Keogh and Jeremy Fleming
Damian Keogh:
Damian is the President and CEO of The HOYTS Group, a role he has held since 2014. The HOYTS Group owns and operates 52 cinemas throughout Australia and New Zealand with over 400 screens as well as the iconic Val Morgan cinema and outdoor advertising company.
As part of the Chinese owned Wanda Group, which owns 12% of the world’s cinema’s, Damian has overseen a dramatic re-investment program in the HOYTS cinema circuit. Over the past six years more than $300 million has been spent in upgrading the cinema experience with powered recliner seats in every cinema. In the process HOYTS has grown market share and been recognized as the leader in cinema innovation in Australia.
Damian was Chairman of the Cronulla Sharks NRL team from 2013 – 2017, including the clubs first premiership in 2016.
A former professional sportsman, he enjoyed a distinguished basketballer career in the NBL playing 406 games from 1980-1995, including captaining the Sydney Kings from 1989 to 1995. Damian represented Australia on over 200 occasions including three Olympic Games and three World Championships. He is a member of the Hall of Fame for Basketball Australia, the NBL, NSW Basketball and Victorian Basketball.

Jeremy Fleming
Jeremy Fleming is the Managing Director of Stagekings, the company responsible for some of the most well-known temporary event structures of the past five years.
His company have built stages and sets like the Opening Ceremony at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, the set for Ninja Warrior, the replica Edinburgh Castle at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Sydney, Shakespeare’s Pop up Globe Theatre in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth and Ultra Music Festival.
Jeremy is currently navigating Stagekings through the most difficult time the event industry has ever experienced, with a complete shut-down of the industry since the outbreak of Covid-19 in March.
Seeing a chink in the supply chain he has pivoted the Stagekings business to manufacture work from home office furniture, to fill the gap in the market and to keep Stagekings in business.
By doing this he has re-employed staff, as well as employing more than 70 more out of work event crew to help in the manufacturing of the IsoKing furniture range. On top of this over the past five months Stagekings has donated over $50,000 to Support Act – the Heart and Hand of Australian Music, through the sales of the desks.
