The Kings documentary, Building the Kingdom, being filmed live throughout #NBL22 season will now be aired on Kayo Freebies.
Episode two of the series, The Redemption Arc, is now live and free on Kayo.
Building on episode one which set the tone of the series and started with the season-opening win, episode two takes us into the lion’s den for the Kings’ pre-Christmas games.
It opens taking us into what was a blockbuster round two fiery clash with the Hawks through the eyes of Kings guard and former Illawarra junior Angus Glover.
The episode takes you inside the moment the group learns starting centre Jordi Hunter would be out for the season. You meet Fleur McIntyre and hear about her journey in basketball from associate professor at a WA university to Kings assistant coach.
The documentary takes you right inside the change rooms after what was a history-making loss for the Kings against United in Melbourne and then the redemption at home days later by defeating SEM Pheonix in Sydney.
The exquisitely shot footage is being gathered by Kings videographers Sam Tolhurst and Joel Cama, who worked for the Kings associate company Total Sport and Entertainment. The pair is being given total access and travelling with the team through the season.
The plans are for the documentary to be an eight-part series, though that could be extended.
The documentary will also air on other News Corporation channels through news.com.au and associated mastheads.
