A frustrated Chase Buford has expressed his disappointment at the Sydney Kings’ fourth-quarter performance on Sunday, labelling their effort as “soft”.
The Kings scored a lowly six points in the final period of Sunday’s loss to the Tasmania JackJumpers, watching a 14-point fourth-quarter lead crumble into an eight-point loss.
It clearly wasn’t the reigning champion’s best showing and Buford was blunt in his assessment.
"We limited ourselves with some of the obnoxiously dumb turnovers we had,” Buford said.
"We just suck in the fourth quarter - we're soft.

"I'm way more disappointed with us than I am impressed with them.
“Defensively we were trash all night. We were lucky they only scored 39 in the first half.”
The Hoops Capital side is back in action on Friday night against the Illawarra Hawks at 7:30pm AEDT.
