Boomers take game two in the Trans-Tasman Tournament

Sydney Kings forward Xavier Cooks led the Australian Boomers to victory on Friday defeating New Zealand 92-67 in the inaugural Trans-Tasman Throwdown on the Gold Coast.
Cooks put up 16 points, 8 rebounds 3 assists and 1 block, a fiery performance in front of a sellout crowd.
Alongside Cooks was Sydney Kings #249 Keli Leaupepe who produced 7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.

It’s the second win in as many days after the Boomers secured a win in Adelaide on Wednesday night 80-68.
The Trans-Tasman Throwdown now heads to New Zealand for the third game on Sunday in Hamilton. The men's game is again first up at 12:10pm AEST ahead of the Opals facing the Tall Ferns to wrap things up with tip-off set for 2:20pm.
