The message here is simple. Thank you.
We know that COVID has had a dramatic impact on our community, but through this season so many of you have attended games and been active supporters of our club. I promise you that this isn’t lost on the players, coaches, and staff as both teams navigate a tough start to the season.
And those that haven’t attended yet, your commitment and support just by being members creates a strong sense of obligation on everyone at the club to represent you in the best possible manner.
But we play a beautiful sport called basketball and sport is the original and greatest unscripted drama. Highs and lows, controversies, injuries, elite performances and bad days at the office. All of sport is littered with these story lines.
The Brydens Lawyers Sydney Uni Flames and Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings are firmly in the jaws of what is proving to be a challenging season, certainly something we didn’t script for ourselves.
But that is the beauty of sport. It confronts all of us in often the most brutal way and frankly there is no other option than to get on with working our way through the situation.
What working through this challenging period looks like is the coaching staff and players of both teams in our club doubling down their efforts. Their work ethic is unquestionable, driven by pride and commitment to the members and fans of our club.
The same members and fans that have supported us consistently this season.
Thank you again for what you all bring to the club.
Keep believing in the magic of sport, where redemption and success is often only a half roll of a ball on a rim away.
Regards, Paul.
