Biography
One of the few players in league history to have won both an NBL and NBA championship, Ian Clark is preparing for his first full campaign in the league with Melbourne United in 2023/24.
It has been quite the ride in basketball for the 32-year-old Tennessee native. After four years at Belmont University in Nashville the sharpshooter went undrafted in the NBA in 2013.
However, he was in the NBA with the Utah Jazz later that year and would spend almost two seasons there before a seven-game stint at the Denver Nuggets and then joining the Golden State Warriors.
Clark was a part of the Warriors’ championship winning team in 2017, playing a significant role off the bench averaging 6.8 points a game and shooting the three ball at 37.4 per cent.
After two more seasons in the NBA with the New Orleans Pelicans, Clark joined the Sydney Kings midway through NBL22, playing a key role in the ultimate championship triumph.
He again joined the Adelaide 36ers mid-season in 2022/23 but now will be embarking on a full season for the first time in the NBL at Melbourne United.
