Biography
The versatile and energetic forward makes his return to the NBL for the 2023/24 season and what a crazy ride it's been for him to get to this point on a number of fronts.
The 29-year-old forward who is a proven outstanding rebounder, defender and hustle man who last played in the NBL at the Sydney Kings back in NBL21 has had quite the journey over the last decade in two sports.
Growing up in the Shire region of Sydney, he played both Australian Football and basketball, but he ended up receiving a scholarship at age 14 from the NSW AFL and that ended up in him being drafted to the Fremantle Dockers.
He played just one AFL game in 2013 at Fremantle along with 39 matches in the WAFL with Peel Thunder before then electing to return to playing basketball.
He joined the Sydney Kings initially as a training player, but made his NBL debut late in the 2015/16 season before signing on as a development player the following season, and showing enough to impress in his 14 appearances.
On the back of that, he joined Melbourne United to become part of their championship in 2018 and then after also winning a SEABL (now NBL1 South) championship at the Hobart Chargers, he returned to the Kings where he spent the NBL20 and NBL21 seasons.
Has since been playing in Germany with Würzburg Baskets and now is on the comeback trail from a knee injury upon coming back into the NBL at the Phoenix.
