Made a significant impact on the NBL in his first season at the South East Melbourne Phoenix both in terms of what he provided with his production and his leadership, and it was a natural for him to return in NBL24.

The powerfully built centre produced 16.6 points and 9.9 rebounds a game in NBL23 while showing an ability to be a dominant and at times unstoppable force down low in the right situation.

That included 27 points, 14 rebounds and six assists in a dominant showing against the Perth Wildcats as just one illustration of what he is capable of.

Before coming to the Phoenix last season, the now 30-year-old grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, and then attended college at UC Santa Barbara before initially starting his professional career in China.

He would then begin his NBA career at the Phoenix Suns in the 2015/16 season and averaged a career-high 7.4 points and 6.2 rebounds in his 47 appearances at the Suns in 2016/17.

Made just five appearances in each of the next two NBA seasons firstly at Phoenix and then the Brooklyn Nets before ending up finishing the 2019 season at Shaanxi Xinda in China, and playing with Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia before coming down under.
