Todd Blanchfield


Summary: Todd comes to Sydney on a two year contract as one of the standout recruits of the National Basketball League offseason. An explosive, versatile swingman with definite perimeter range, Todd has great length, athleticism and the ability to play at least three positions on the court. He played six seasons with the Townsville Crocodiles, showing great improvement each year before heading to Melbourne United for the past two NBL campaigns, and will be a key cog in Sydney’s 2017/2018 NBL roster.

Statistical highlights: Todd has played 204 NBL games, with career averages of 8.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. He averaged 8.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game in the 2016/2017 NBL season.

Career highlights: Was named NBL Most Improved Player and garnered Second Team All-NBL honours in the 2014/2015 season after averaging a career high in points (14.6 per game), adding six rebounds per contest. Has also been a standout in the Queensland Basketball League (QBL) for Mackay and won the NZNBL championship in 2015 as an import for the Southland Sharks, averaging 21.1 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game while earning selection in the league’s All Star Five at the end of the season.
