Kevin Lisch



Summary: One of the genuine superstars of the National Basketball League will play his second season with the Sydney Kings, after an excellent debut campaign saw him average 16.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.9 steals and 34 minutes per game while shooting 83.5% from the free throw line. A brilliant shooter, outstanding passer and ferocious competitor at both ends of the floor, the universally respected Captain of the Kings is determined to lead the franchise back to glory in 2017/2018.

Statistical highlights: Kevin has played 184 NBL games with career averages of 15.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 42% from the field, 37% from three point range and 82% from the free throw line. In the 2016/2017 season for Sydney, he led the league in steals, was tenth in the league in points per game and tenth in assists. His career-high six steals keyed a Round Three home win over the Illawarra Hawks.

Career highlights: Lisch has had a tremendous career, particularly in his adopted Australia. He is one of only six players in NBL history to win multiple NBL MVP awards (2012, 2016) and in 2016 became one of only four players to win NBL MVP and NBL Defensive Player of the Year in the same season. He won the NBL Grand Final Series MVP for Perth in 2010 and was named First Team All-NBL in 2012, First Team All-NBL in 2013 and Second Team All-NBL in 2017. He was named as a member of the Perth Wildcats 30th Anniversary Team and was a member of the Australian Boomers at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. In addition, he has played professionally in Spain, France and Puerto Rico and had a great college career at St Louis University, named as the Atlantic-10 Conference Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Year as a senior.
