He will play his fourth season in 2017/2018 for his hometown team and has shown improvement throughout a solid NBL career. Expect Jason to be a major contributor once again for the purple and gold as he strives to help the Kings reach the playoffs.
Statistical highlights: Jason has played 192 NBL games for three teams (Sydney, Adelaide and Gold Coast) with career averages of 8.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. He has played 84 games with the Kings, averaging 11.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 81.2% from the free throw line. Jason is currently third all-time in franchise history in career free throw percentage and top ten all-time in franchise history in three point field goal attempts.
Career highlights: Jason has never missed a game with the Kings through injury. He had an excellent 2015/16 campaign where he averaged an NBL career-high 14 points per game and won both the Sydney Kings Members’ Player of the Year and Sydney Kings Community Award. He led the NZNBL in scoring in the 2014/15 NBL offseason, averaging 26.7 points per game. He played in an NBL Grand Final with Adelaide in 2014 and had a standout junior career, playing in the World Select team that played in the 2010 Nike Hoops Summit in Portland, Oregon. He was also the 2008 Scott Fenton Memorial Player of the Year and the 2008 NSW Male Athlete and Basketball Player of the Year while a member of the Bankstown Bruins.
