Tom Garlepp joined international NBA Global Directors Jennifer Azzi and Blair Hardiek to deliver an outstanding program for Charity Bounce’s first ever all female basketball clinic recently in Sydney.

Young women from cross Sydney travelled to the Rocks with 20 cultures represented on the night including; Aboriginal, Afghani, Burmese, Chinese, English, Equatoguinean, Fijian, Filipino, Leonean, Liberian, New Zealander, Niuean, Pacific Islander, Russian, Samoan, Serbian, Sierra Taiwanese, Spanish, Sudanese, and Syrian.






Tom joined the NBA Global directors with some amazing coaches with their own list of achievements including Tom’s wife and former WNBL player Renae Camino, former NAIA All American Alex Porter-Moore, former NBL player Eban Hyams, and Accelerate Basketballs Head Technical Coach Dwight Escobar.


Jennifer Azzi shared her experience both on and off the court to inspire positive change for the young women speaking on the value of having a vision for your future. Speaking from her own pathway to success Jennifer focussed on the power of a vision for your future, both on and off the court, and the importance of believing in yourself to ensure you take every opportunity to achieve your goals.




Charity Bounce is a not for profit organisation that exists to inspire positive change to overcome disadvantage for individuals and communities. With a focus on Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders and Culturally Diverse communities, including newly arrived refugees we aim to move people toward a more positive future through the development of sports, the arts, health, education and employment focused social programs. The programs are delivered in partnership with professional athletes to motivate change and inspire.
