Luke Kendall stepping up

Luke Kendall has had many roles with the Sydney Kings but now he’s stepping up into a full time assistant coaching role with the team.

Luke started in a part time coaching role last season and the club is excited to get his full time attention for the 2017-18 campaign ahead.

Coach Andrew Gaze – and everyone in the organisation – looks forward to Luke’s continued impact on the SydneyKings.

Andrew has worked with Luke over the past few weeks or so on the areas and indeed workload that lay ahead as a full time Assistant Coach and he couldn’t be stronger in his belief that Luke is the right man for the job.

Sydney Kings Managing Director Jeff Van Groningen echoed those thoughts.

“We appreciated his level of dedication as well as the perspective and skill-set that Luke brought to the table. We believe that Luke’s contribution will increase in significance with his commitment to take on a full time coaching position with us from July 1st through the end of the NBL season.

Luke’s strong basketball pedigree including a championship-calibre playing stint with the Kings and his developing coaching resume will all add to the fabric of our team.”
